Purpose
KB is a cabinet fan for ducted supply and extract ventilation; the manufacturer also lists replacing an air handling unit among its uses. The insulated casing reduces noise, so KB can be installed closer to the rooms it serves.
Design
The casing uses extruded aluminium profiles with plastic or aluminium corners and galvanised insulated panels; on request with epoxy coating, an access door or in a weatherproof version. Inside is a double-inlet centrifugal fan:
- TRZ with forward-curved blades or HRZ with backward-curved blades, belt-driven;
- DRS, DRAE or DRAD, direct-driven.
When to choose
- a supply or extract system is needed without a full air handling unit;
- airflow approx. up to 50,000 m³/h;
- for smaller airflow without a belt, see KBPF.
