How it works

How jet-fan car park ventilation works

Jet fans mounted under the slab create a directed airflow along the car park. Polluted air — and smoke in a fire — moves towards the exhaust shaft without any ductwork.

  • No ducts — less ceiling void, simpler installation and maintenance.
  • Two modes — CO-controlled ventilation and smoke clearance in a fire.
  • Verified by analysis — fan positions are checked with CFD modelling.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Jetfans Central Asia an official Wolter distributor?

Yes. Jetfans Central Asia is the official distributor of Wolter GmbH (Germany) and Himpel Co., Ltd. (Republic of Korea) in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Equipment is supplied from the manufacturers with full technical documentation.

How does jet-fan ventilation differ from ducted ventilation?

In a jet-fan system, fans under the slab move air and smoke, so no branch ductwork is needed. This saves storey height and installation cost, and the same fans handle both daily ventilation and smoke clearance. See Car park ventilation.

Do you provide design and CFD modelling?

Yes. We select and design the system, run CFD modelling of smoke and CO spread and prepare documents for design review. If your own engineer leads the design, we provide the input data and equipment calculations.

What are the lead times?

Lead times depend on the series, version and quantity and are stated in the quotation. We schedule deliveries around the construction programme.

What certification do the smoke exhaust fans have?

Wolter jet fans and axial smoke exhaust fans are tested to the European standard EN 12101-3 in classes F300 and F400 (300 °C and 400 °C for 120 minutes). Conformity requirements differ between Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan — we confirm the documents for each item at selection stage.

Who do you work with?

Developers, general contractors, design institutes, installers and distributors, including public tenders.
