Purpose
RH/RV/RVS extract air through the roof in general ventilation systems. RH with horizontal discharge suits lightly contaminated air; RV with vertical discharge suits more heavily contaminated air. RVS is an RV with an attenuator hood for sites where noise on the roof matters.
Design
The backward-curved impeller is mounted on an external-rotor motor and balanced to G2.5. The motors have moisture-proof impregnation and thermal contacts; protection is IP44 up to size 310L and IP54 from 355. The RH cowl is seawater-resistant aluminium up to size 500 and galvanised steel on larger sizes; the RV cowl is aluminium.
Speed control
The speed is adjustable, so the airflow can be set at commissioning and varied with the building’s operating modes. For hot air choose RVH; for smoke exhaust, RVHT.
