Purpose
RVH is used where the extract air is warm or contaminated and should not pass through the motor: kitchen extract and process systems. Discharge is vertically upwards.
Design
The IEC flange motor (IMB5, IP55, insulation class F) sits outside the airstream. The backward-curved impeller is aluminium, balanced to G6.3. The cowl is seawater-resistant aluminium and the base is galvanised steel with an integrated inlet cone.
Permissible temperature
- up to 120 °C;
- up to 80 °C with speed-controlled motors;
- up to 50 °C for sizes 800 and above.
RVH is not a smoke exhaust fan. For smoke exhaust through the roof you need RVHT — 400 °C for 120 minutes.
