Purpose
KAF/KAT are extract fans for commercial kitchens and other systems with heavily contaminated air. The motor sits outside the airstream, so warm and contaminated air does not pass through it; the permissible medium temperature is −30 to +120 °C.
Design
The insulated casing is made of aluminium profiles and galvanised panels with mineral wool. The IEC motor is mounted on a swing-out door. KAT uses a forward-curved impeller in a scroll; KAF uses a backward-curved plug impeller without a scroll. The outlet can face any side.
Selection for a kitchen
Kitchen extract airflow is set by the cooking equipment and the codes. We select the size, motor version and control method; for discharging warm air through the roof, the RVH roof fans are also suitable.
