Installation supervision and commissioning

We supervise installation, set up the controls and test ventilation and smoke control systems so that they work as designed.

How we work

  1. Supervision

    Briefing installers, checking supports and connections.

  2. Checks

    Rotation, currents, vibration, isolator switches.

  3. Controls

    Controller, CO sensors and fire scenarios.

  4. Testing

    Mode checks and, if required, smoke tests.

  5. Training

    Briefing the facility staff.

  6. Documents

    Records, test reports and maintenance advice.

Why commissioning matters

Even a well-designed and well-supplied system can underperform because of installation or set-up errors: wrong flow direction, incorrect fan orientation, wrong sensor set-points or fire-mode logic. Commissioning finds and fixes these problems before handover.

What we check

  • fan supports and layout against the design;
  • direction of rotation and flow, both speeds and reversal;
  • electrical parameters and isolator switches;
  • CO sensor set-up and daily-mode logic;
  • fire scenarios: start-up sequence and timing, interfaces with fire alarm and sprinklers.

Testing

At the client’s or authority’s request we carry out cold-smoke tests that clearly demonstrate how the system works. Results are recorded in a report.

What you receive

  • Commissioning records
  • Configured controls and scenarios
  • Test report
  • Trained facility staff

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you carry out the installation?

Installation is done by our partners or the client’s contractor; we provide supervision and commissioning.

Can you commission a system supplied by someone else?

This is discussed individually after reviewing the design and equipment.

Need equipment selection or a system design?

Send us the layouts or the brief — we will prepare a selection, a calculation and a quotation.
