Why ventilation has become a selling point
Home buyers in Almaty, Astana, Tashkent and Bishkek increasingly ask about air quality. New buildings are more airtight: modern windows let almost no air through, and natural ventilation in high-rise buildings is unreliable, especially in summer. In winter, outdoor air quality in the region’s large cities often deteriorates.
Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery and filtration is no longer just a premium option — it becomes a sales argument in the business segment.
Underground car park
The car park is the heaviest part of a residential ventilation scheme. A jet-fan system with Wolter fans lets you:
- drop the main ducts and reduce the height of car park levels;
- combine CO ventilation and smoke control in one system;
- reduce noise for residents — low-height JFUO/JFRO fans with the long casing are quieter.
See Car park ventilation for details.
Apartments
For apartments we offer Himpel equipment:
- HueVen apartment ERVs from 70 to 270 m³/h — ceiling, cassette and wall models with HEPA filters; the ERV keeps heat and moisture in winter and reduces heat gains in summer;
- ZEROC constant-airflow bathroom fans: airflow stays steady as the shared riser pressure changes (25–250 Pa), which matters in high-rise buildings;
- BioHood kitchen hoods with quiet BLDC motors.
See the energy recovery ventilators and apartment ventilation catalogue.
Common areas and services
- exhaust from plant rooms and refuse rooms — Wolter duct and roof fans;
- corridor smoke exhaust and stair pressurisation — per the fire protection design;
- ground-floor commercial units — HueVen EGI commercial ERVs up to 1,100 m³/h.
How we work with developers
- We review the concept and layouts before detailed design, so car park height savings are built into the project.
- We prepare one schedule for the car park and apartments, with a budget.
- We support the design engineer and the design review.
- We deliver to the construction phasing.
- We train installers and the facility team.
