Wolter JFUO / JFRO low-height jet fans

Axial jet fans in a flat oval casing with integrated silencers. Designed for car parks with limited headroom, they handle both daily ventilation and smoke clearance.

Purpose

JFUO and JFRO are designed for jet-fan ventilation of underground and enclosed car parks. In normal operation they dilute and remove exhaust fumes based on CO sensors; in a fire they push smoke towards the exhaust shafts and keep a smoke-free zone for evacuation and fire-fighting. A jet-fan system can create "virtual" smoke zones without smoke curtains or ducts.

Design

The casing is a single oval-section silencer, so the fan takes minimum height and needs no separate attenuators. The cast aluminium impeller has blades with adjustable pitch, set at standstill to the required thrust.

A key feature for operators is service access: the motor–impeller unit slides out of the casing, so maintenance does not require taking the fan down from the slab. The design is patented by the manufacturer.

When to choose JFUO / JFRO

  • headroom under beams is limited, but a centrifugal JFC is not needed;
  • low noise matters, as in residential complexes — the long L casing reduces sound levels;
  • flow reversal is required — choose JFRO.

For more thrust per fan, consider the round JFUC / JFRC; for minimum height, the centrifugal JFC.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can JFUO be serviced without removing it from the ceiling?

Yes. The motor and impeller unit slides out of the casing, so the fan stays on its bracket.

What thrust does my car park need?

Thrust and fan numbers come from the calculation. JFUO typically delivers 28 to 68 N at high speed. Send us the layouts and we will make a selection.
