Purpose
SDB fans provide quiet extract and supply through round ducts: a forward-curved impeller sits in a casing insulated with mineral wool.
Design
An aluminium profile frame with glass-fibre polyamide corners and galvanised panels with mineral wool. Swapping panels converts the fan from straight (180°) to angled (90°) airflow. Sizes 125–315M have four-step motors and must be installed with the shaft horizontal; sizes 315L–400 have speed-controllable external-rotor motors with thermal contacts.
When to choose
- the fan sits next to rooms where quiet matters;
- a 90° turn is needed without a separate bend;
- for higher airflow and rectangular ducts, see cabinet fans.
