Purpose
Axial tunnel fans move large air volumes through portals, ventilation shafts and ducts. They are used in transverse and semi-transverse schemes, and in longitudinal schemes where air is supplied or extracted through a shaft.
Versions
Wolter builds portal fans up to size 2800, certified up to F400 to EN 12101-3, with stainless steel versions for aggressive air. For ancillary rooms, running tunnels and metro stations the standard AXV / BXV axial fans are suitable.
Selection
Airflow, pressure, reversal and fire rating are set by the tunnel ventilation design. The catalogue of large tunnel fans is not public, so we request the technical data from the manufacturer based on the project brief.
