Apartment ventilation: bathrooms and kitchens
Himpel holds about 60 % of the Korean bathroom-fan market (Korean press, 2025). For apartments it makes ventilation equipment: constant-airflow extract fans, all-in-one bathroom units and kitchen hoods with BLDC motors.
In an apartment building, bathroom and kitchen extract usually runs into a shared riser. The riser pressure varies, and an ordinary fan loses airflow as the pressure rises. Himpel answers this with constant-airflow fans: the airflow stays within ±10 % as the pressure changes from 25 to 250 Pa.
- ZEROC — bathroom extract fans: ceiling, concealed inline (Livo) and wall models, with constant airflow or high static pressure;
- HueZentte — all-in-one bathroom units: ventilation, warm air, dehumidifying and drying in one ceiling unit;
- BioHood — kitchen hoods with a BLDC motor and constant-airflow steps.

Himpel bathroom and kitchen series
ZEROC — constant-airflow bathroom fans
Ceiling, concealed inline (Livo) and wall extract fans: constant airflow at 25–250 Pa, BLDC models from 2 W, up to 300 m³/h.
HueZentte — all-in-one bathroom units
Extract fan, fan heater, dehumidifier and dryer in one ceiling unit: ventilation 120–130 m³/h, heating up to 1,500 W, BLDC.
BioHood — constant-airflow kitchen hoods
Chimney hoods for apartments with a BLDC motor: 150–350 m³/h in constant-airflow steps, from 30 dB, Ø 125/150 duct.

Extract fan classes
Himpel divides its extract fans into four pressure classes:
| Class | What it guarantees | Where it is used |
|---|---|---|
| Constant airflow | airflow within ±10 % at 25–250 Pa | apartment and high-rise buildings with shared risers |
| High static pressure | at least 60 m³/h at 200 Pa | apartment and high-rise buildings |
| Medium static pressure | at least 60 m³/h at 70 Pa | buildings up to 10 storeys, houses, refurbishment |
| Low static pressure | at least 60 m³/h at 0 Pa | buildings up to 10 storeys, houses, refurbishment |
Constant airflow is certified to the KARSE B 0044-1255 group standard of the Korean building-services association.
System solutions
The Himpel catalogue includes ready-made schemes: a bathroom fan that also extracts from a dressing room or pantry; lift-hall extract against condensation, interlocked with the smoke-control damper so the fan stops in a fire; and hybrid systems with natural supply and mechanical extract.
Accessories
Backdraft and anti-wind dampers, including magnetic types; a diffuser with an internal damper (patented); motorised dampers; aluminium and flame-retardant flexible ducts; outdoor vent caps, sleeves, tees and reducers; noise reducers for bathroom ducts that limit sound transfer between floors.
Power supply
The Himpel catalogue gives data for 220 V / 60 Hz. We confirm the 50 Hz version and performance for each model at selection — especially for fans with AC motors.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is a constant-airflow fan?
A fan that keeps its airflow within ±10 % as the system pressure changes from 25 to 250 Pa. In an apartment building it extracts the same amount of air from a bathroom regardless of the pressure in the shared riser.
Are Himpel fans suitable for buildings with a shared riser?
Yes, that is what the constant-airflow and high-static ZEROC models are for. For buildings up to 10 storeys and houses, the low- and medium-static models are sufficient.
Does Himpel make hoods for restaurants?
No. BioHood hoods are residential, with Ø 125/150 mm ducts. For commercial kitchens we select Wolter KAF / KAT extract boxes.
