Codes and approvals
Lithuania has dedicated fire-safety rules for car parks; smoke control and ventilation are designed under the specific rules of the Fire and Rescue Department:
- Car Park Fire Safety Rules (Automobilių saugyklų gaisrinės saugos taisyklės) (PAGD order No. 1-44 of 6 Feb 2012, version from 1 Nov 2019) — official text: engineering systems follow separate rules on smoke and heat control systems (PAGD order No. 1-249 of 4 Oct 2013) and on fire safety of ventilation (No. 1-250); underground car parks: fire-resistance degree I, fire compartments up to 6,000 m²
- Rules for the design and installation of fixed fire-extinguishing systems (PAGD order No. 1-1 of 6 Jan 2016, amended 30 Oct 2024) — official text: sprinklers in underground and mechanised car parks with 25 or more spaces; open car parks excepted
The car park rules do not mention jet fans; smoke control is designed under PAGD’s separate rules on smoke and heat control systems. We confirm the design and approval route for a jet-fan system at project start.
Fire authority: Fire and Rescue Department (PAGD).
Equipment documents
Wolter smoke exhaust fans are supplied with CE marking and a Declaration of Performance (DoP) under the Construction Products Regulation (EU) No 305/2011: they are tested to EN 12101-3, and factory production control is supervised by the notified body MPA Braunschweig.
How we work
Jetfans engineers handle selection, calculations and CFD remotely and prepare documentation in English and Russian; on site we work with local installation partners. Equipment from Germany and Korea is delivered to the construction schedule. We are looking for distributors and installers in Lithuania.
