Two layouts
- BioHood 2 — the fan is built into the hood body; five constant-airflow steps from 150 to 350 m³/h, from 30 dB on the lowest step, and an EPP body that absorbs sound.
- BioHood 1 — the fan (460 × 365 × 170 mm, 5 kg) is installed separately from the hood body (898 × 500 × 384 mm, 9 kg); three constant-airflow steps.
Constant airflow means the hood holds the selected capacity even when duct resistance or riser pressure changes.
Limits
BioHood hoods are residential, for apartments. For restaurants and commercial kitchens we select Wolter KAF / KAT extract boxes and RVH roof fans.
In 2026 Himpel announced a new Huecla Fore hood line; its technical data have not been published yet.
